Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Handmann
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Handmann is the Professor of Neuroinformatics and Head of the Computer Science Institute at the Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences (Bottrop Campus), to which he was appointed in 2010 after doctoral studies and research activities at various institutes. His scientific focus includes image processing, neuroinformatics, intelligent vehicles and driver assistance systems, biometric identification and verification systems, as well as sensor data fusion and psychoacoustics. Uwe Handmann is the first chairman of the Prosperkolleg e.V. association for the promotion of the practical transfer of scientific findings. Within the Prosperkolleg project, he is responsible for research approaches to the use of digital technologies for automated recycling processes.
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Irrek
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Irrek is the Professor of Energy Management and Energy Services at the Institute of Energy Systems and Energy Economics at Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences in Bottrop and Mülheim an der Ruhr. As a trained industrial manager and graduate economist, he teaches and conducts research on current issues in the fields of energy management and energy transition, energy efficiency and energy services, as well as on transformation processes and political-administrative frameworks in the areas of climate protection and circular economy (circular value creation), among others. From 1995-2010 he worked at and for the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, Energy. Wolfgang Irrek is a founding member and second chairman of the Prosperkolleg e.V. association, which aims to transfer scientific knowledge into practice.

As Corporate Responsibility Manager, Christoph Teusch looks after the topics of Circular Economy, Inclusion and Impact Measurement at the IT refurbisher AfB. The inclusion company refurbishes used business IT and thus creates inclusive jobs while protecting the climate and the environment.

Julius Schäufele
Julius Schäufele founded restado, the largest marketplace for reclaimed building materials in Europe, together with three colleagues while still studying design. In 2020, Concular was added, a digital B2B platform for circular building that won the DGNB Sustainability Award 2021, among others.
